Gordon Roberts - Interim Director of Music Ministry and Interim Organist
Gordon Roberts, a native of Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, has been doing church work professionally since the age of 9, conducting choirs and holding positions as organist/choir director. He holds a BS Degree in Music Education from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and BM and MS degrees from Juilliard School NYC. A conductor, organist, pianist, accompanist, teacher, vocal coach, composer, arranger and orchestrator, Mr. Roberts has performed internationally. While at Juilliard he was part of the prestigious Lincoln Center Program and was accompanist for the internationally renowned Mezzo Soprano, Jennie Tourel. Mr. Roberts was winner of the National Baldwin Piano Recording Competition and served on the Boards of Art Serve, The Chopin Council (where he was vice president for 6 years), Public Theater, and is SubDean of AGO (American Guild of Organists).
